About Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands The Cayman Islands are a British overseas territory located in the western Caribbean Sea, comprising the islands of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman. The Cayman Islands are the fifth-largest banking centre in the world and a top destination for diving. Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Cayman Islands at about 196 km² and contains the capital George Town.
